The Best POS Software According to G2 Crowd Spring 2016 Rankings, Based on User Reviews
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 03, 2016 -- G2 Crowd, the world’s leading business software review platform, today released the Spring 2016 POS Software Grid report to help businesses make the best Point of Sale (POS) technology decision. Square, Aloha POS, and Shopify POS were named a Leaders in the report, receiving strong customer satisfaction scores with a large market presence. Square earned the highest overall satisfaction score while Aloha POS earned the highest overall market presence score.
The Grid leverages customer satisfaction data reported by authenticated users along with vendor market presence determined from social and public data. Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
Key Findings:
•Reliability issues — Users of nearly every POS platform wrote that they have issues with bugs, freezing, or crashing of the software. Users who work directly with customers said that this is particularly problematic during busy periods.
•Internet reliance — For many of the POS products, internet connectivity is required for some or all of their POS functionality. While users said that this could be a positive at times, such as allowing remote access to data and reporting, it can cause major issues on the front end if internet connectivity is subpar.
•Software simplicity — Reviewers of nearly all POS products wrote that the software is easy to learn and use. Five of the seven products received at least an 85 percent satisfaction rating for ease of use.
About the POS Software Grid report:
•The report is based on more than 130 reviews written by business professionals.
•Of the roughly 228 products listed in G2 Crowd’s POS category, the ranked products each received ten or more reviews to qualify for inclusion on the Grid.
