The culinary teams at Skyland and Big Meadows Lodge have been working hard with local resources to craft extraordinary menus that will make a great addition to an already magical stay at in the park, and a great way to kick off the spring season.

Big Meadows Lodge officially opens its doors on May 11th with delicious options for a relaxing sit down meal in the Spottswood Dining Room or a picnic option to go. Local favorites including the Traditional “Year-Round” Turkey Dinner and the Rainbow Trout will not disappoint. But dinner isn’t your only option – you can also start out the day with a fresh smoothie before a morning hike, or stop by for a hearty sandwich during lunchtime. In the mood to drink something local? The wait staff will provide their expertise on what Virginia wine or craft beer to pair with your meal.

The Pollock Dining Room at Skyland offers an assortment of delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. You don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving for delicious pecan pie or turkey pot pie – the Skyland menu is stocked with amazing meal choices for you to choose from. If you are wondering where the local comes in - produce and cheese will be purchased from nearby resources, and fish cuts are approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium seafood watch program. Dietary modifications including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options make dining a breeze no matter what accommodations are needed.
