PoundWishes.com and GSROC Join Forces to Raise Funds for Rescued German Shepherds
Seal Beach, CA (PRWEB) May 04, 2016 -- On April 4, 2016, San Bernardino Animal Control extracted 33 frightened and filthy German shepherd dogs from a condemned home in Highland, CA. German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County rescued 24 of them from the Devore Animal Shelter, ranging in age from 8 months to 9 years and including several who appeared to have had puppies recently.
German Shepherd Rescue of OC’s director, Maria Dales, stated that this is the largest ‘one-time’ rescue in the non-profit group’s history, “We’ve facilitated some very dramatic rescues over the course of 18 years, but we’ve never taken on so many dogs with both medical and behavioral needs at one time." Over the next 30 days, GSROC will be learning more about each dog’s characteristics and needs with the goal of finding a loving, forever home for each of them. The 501c3 organization successfully rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes between 350 and 400 dogs throughout Southern California each year.

Currently, the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County group is seeking financial donations to help offset the skyrocketing costs of medical care and boarding costs while the dogs are being rehabilitated.
