Penn Foster Career School Reaccredited as an Accredited Provider of IACET CEUs
Scranton, PA (PRWEB) May 04, 2016 -- The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded reaccreditation status to Penn Foster Career School. IACET Accredited Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The accreditation period extends for five years, and includes all programs offered or created during that time. These CEUs are recognized, accepted and, even required by many state agencies and credentialing organizations.
“Penn Foster is proud of our innovative, self-paced education programs such as Medical Billing and Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Veterinary Assistant, and Auto Repair Technician career diplomas, which train over 35,000 students each year in important career skills so that our graduates stay on the cutting edge,” stated Frank Britt, CEO of Penn Foster. Britt added, “Our renewed partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to career preparation and high standards for our Career School, and we are very pleased to remain with such a prestigious organization and the elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Penn Foster Career School as an Accredited Provider,” stated Lori Schnaider, president of IACET. Schnaider added, “Penn Foster joins nearly 600 organizations around the globe that have had their programs audited by third-party continuing education experts to ensure the highest possible standards are met.”
In addition of this Authorized Provider status, Penn Foster recently announced that the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) has renewed its accreditation through January 2020.
In issuing its renewal of accreditation, Penn Foster High School, Career School, and College has demonstrated its commitment to educational standards and ethical business practices that assure quality, accountability, and improvement in higher education.
Penn Foster Career School completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, to achieve its Accredited Provider accredited provider status. The organization successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2013 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of its programs. Penn Foster has pledged its continued compliance with the Standard, and is now authorized to use the IACET name and Accredited Provider logo on promotional course material. In addition, Penn Foster is now linked to the IACET web site and is recognized as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.
