Lumus CEO Ben Weinberger Joins AR & VR Panel at TechNet 2016
(PRWEB) May 04, 2016 -- Lumus, a leading developer of optical display technology for augmented reality and smart eyewear, announced today that CEO Ben Weinberger will join a panel presentation on virtual and augmented reality at the Goldman Sachs TechNet Conference – Asia Pacific 2016. Weinberger will be one of three presenters for an opening-day panel on “The Reality of Virtual & Augmented Reality” at the exclusive conference, to be May 18 – 19 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
Top Lumus executives plan to meet privately with investors throughout the invitation-only conference to offer a personal look at the company’s see-through wearable display technology. The 50-minute meetings will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and advance conference registration is required. Attendees can contact Irene Lau, conference coordinator ([email protected]), to schedule a meeting with Lumus, or for general information about the Asia-Pacific conference. Attendees may also contact Lumus Vice President of Sales and Business Development Ari Grobman ([email protected]) during the conference.
“We’re very pleased to be participating in the TechNet – Asia Pacific conference this year,” Weinberger commented. “I especially look forward to joining my colleagues Eugene Chung, founder and CEO of Penrose Studios, and Wondo Kang, director of VR at Samsung, for what’s sure to be a dynamic discussion on the state of VR and AR today. It’s a great forum for showcasing our own advanced augmented reality optics technology as well. Visitors to our booth can experience true augmented reality in the real world with demos of our DK-50 development kit, which is unparalleled today.”
Presented by the Goldman Sachs Securities Division, TechNet – Asia Pacific will feature expert overviews on global research and global banking highlights, and keynote speeches from Eric Jing, president of Ant Financial, and Jim Wang, senior vice president of technology for Baidu. In addition to the VR and AR panel, panel topics will range from “Transforming Logistics in China” and “Digitizing India” to “Rise of the Robots” (artificial intelligence) and “Mapping the Future of Mobility.” The agenda also includes a full slate of breakout sessions focusing on such topics as big data, e-commerce, online education, healthcare, transportation, and drones, along with interactive expo booths.
