After Building Washington DC's 4th Largest Brokerage, Compass President Lindsay Reishman Returns to Sales and New Development
Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 04, 2016 -- Compass, a technology-driven luxury real estate platform, announces that Lindsay Reishman, President of the company’s DC Region, is stepping out of the management spotlight in order to pursue his growing sales and new development business. Compass has appointed Jesse Sanders, an accomplished business strategist, as General Manager who will oversee daily operations across Compass’ four DC offices in Dupont Circle, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, and Chevy Chase.
Compass launched in Washington DC in 2014 with the acquisition of Lindsay Reishman Real Estate, tapping Reishman as President for the entire region. In the 18 months that followed, Mr. Reishman grew Compass DC from 26 agents into the fourth largest brokerage in Washington DC with more than 160 top agents. Compass is now on track to sell more than $1 billion in real estate in 2016.
“I am exceptionally proud of the culture and team I’ve helped to build at Compass, and I am confident that Jesse and the rest of my colleagues will continue to build upon the success we’ve achieved,” said Reishman. “My first passion in real estate is selling and new development, and after six years leading two real estate brokerages, I look forward to growing my business as a Compass agent, where I know I will receive the absolute best support and services for me, and for my clients.” Reishman will continue to provide strategic advice to DC’s leadership as he works out of Compass’s new 14th Street office.
“Lindsay is an exceptional leader, and has solidified Compass’s strong presence in the DC market. I am excited that he will continue with us as an agent, and that he will continue to provide support and guidance to the entire Compass team,” said Sanders. Prior to joining Compass, Mr. Sanders has helped build high-performing teams and drive growth for successful startups, growth companies and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he was a Senior Advisor to the CEO of NRG Home at NRG Energy Inc., a Fortune 200 company. He has also worked as a consultant at Bain & Company in the technology, real estate, and consumer products sectors.
“We are privileged to have had Lindsay as part of the pioneering Compass leadership team over these last 18 months, and we look forward to supporting him in this next chapter of his career where he will no doubt achieve continued success,” said Robert Reffkin, Founder and CEO, Compass.
In the last year, Compass has grown nationwide to over 1,000 leading agents, software engineers, and business professionals, and expanded into key luxury markets including Boston, the Hamptons, Miami, Los Angeles, and Aspen. The firm oversees a pipeline of more than $2.5 billion in new development projects, and represents more than $5 billion in annualized home sales.
