SCS Engineers is pleased to announce that Jose de la Lama has been promoted to the position of Western Regional Manager of SCS Field Services’ Construction Division. He will replace the current Manager, Rich Dart, who will retire later this year. De la Lama will work out of SCS’s offices in Long Beach, California, and Reston, Virginia.
Mr. de la Lama brings over 35 years of construction management and leadership experience. During his 8 years at SCS, he has applied his extensive qualifications to the estimating, planning, and delivery of landfill gas and landfill gas to energy projects. His prior experience includes directing, estimating, management, and supervision of construction projects in North America, South America, and Central America. These projects include land development for industrial, commercial, and residential projects such as office buildings, hotels, hospitals and residential structures. He has run infrastructure projects including roadways and highways, irrigation canals, pipeline systems for municipal water, storm and sanitary sewers, underground storage facilities, storm water management, water tanks, and water treatment plants. All projects are performed with an emphasis on quality, safety, remaining on budget, and timely execution. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

De la Lama earned a degree as a Civil Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, Department of Science and Engineering, and his Masters of Construction Management and Real Estate Development from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain.
