Secured Communications, LLC Offers Private Grant to Law Enforcement Agencies For Use of its Encryption Communications Technology
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 06, 2016 -- Secured Communications, the global leader in safeguarding communications, announced today the availability of private grant funds to pay for a limited number of eligible law enforcement agencies to receive access to its encrypted voice, text, video and file sharing communications system. The grant program is intended to assist agencies with protecting non-radio communication from interception vulnerabilities associated with mobile phone and tablet communications.
While mobile phones are a vital tool for the rapid communication of sensitive information by law enforcement, they are also vulnerable to interception, which can pose a great risk to critical public safety, investigative integrity and emergency responder communication.
There is no question that encryption is essential in all aspects of today’s digital world. According to Bruce Sewell, Apple’s top lawyer, "The best way we, and the technology industry, know how to protect your information is through the use of strong encryption” (Bloomberg, April 18, 2016).
Even Senator Burr, co-founder of the current proposed Anti-Encryption bill, feels that encryption is important, “I have long believed that data is too insecure, and feel strongly that consumers have a right to seek solutions that protect their information — which involves strong encryption” (Tech Crunch, April 13, 2016).
Secured Communications is led by former FBI members and heads of law enforcement, public safety, security and defense, and protects your communications with the most advanced encryption solutions for vetted enterprise, corporate, government, defense, public safety, health care organizations and limited individuals. The company believes that while encryption is essential, it should only be in the hands of organizations and agencies that have been vetted and approved.
According to Chris Perry, Secured Communications’ Chief Operations Officer, “With evolving technology, the general public is now able to monitor law enforcement activities better than ever before. Because of this, it is essential that communications during critical or sensitive operations be protected from interception. Through encryption, agencies can help to ensure the safety of their officers and ultimately that of the citizens they are sworn to protect.”
Using Secured Communications’ technology, text messages, phone calls, images and files are end-to-end encrypted and protected using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the encryption algorithm for securing sensitive information.
