“Each member was carefully selected based on their expertise as well as the tangible impact they’ve made throughout their careers,” AHF Chair of Nominations & Governance Committee Dwight Smith said. “Their backgrounds make them uniquely qualified for their roles in AHF, and I look forward to seeing how they apply their expertise to drive current initiatives as well as develop new ones.”
Smith noted that he expects each of these new additions to enrich both the board and the committee with a deeper, more comprehensive knowledge of the industry’s landscape, enabling the team to draw on their past experience to make strategic, impactful decisions that will further the organization’s mission.
“I believe that adding Dr. Hood to our board, as well as the five key members across our committees, will enhance our contributions to the communities we serve in the coming years,” Smith said. “Their combined experience and expertise have already added a level of nuance and understanding that will help us gain actionable insights to further our mission and propel our team forward.”
