The Who’s Who in Building & Construction has launched its premier magazine in the Colorado region, leading with a cover story on Mortenson Construction, the company undertaking one of Colorado’s most high-profile projects: The Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. The Blue Book Network will also host a Colorado construction networking and education event to share the publication.

The Colorado edition of The Who’s Who in Building & Construction features “Mortenson Construction to Build History-Making Resort,” the story of Mortenson Construction, one of Colorado’s top vertical builders, and their joint venture partner, WELBRO. The company has taken on a high-profile Colorado construction project, the largest combined resort-convention center in the state: building the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center.

This 1.9 million square foot development will include a 1,500-room hotel, as well as retail, commercial, and convention space, an indoor/outdoor recreational park, and convention facility, on over 85 acres of land. This is not the company’s first major project. Since its founding in 1954 by M.A. Mortenson Sr., the company, one of the top vertical builders in the area has been involved in a multitude of projects for both private and public sectors.

The company is also among the top in solar, renewable, and wind power. When asked to talk about the Mortenson company’s recipe for success, company vice president and Denver General Manager Maja Rosenquist attributes it to the team: “It’s the boots on the ground, the many project managers, superintendents, field workers and others who perform the day-to-day work and coordinate increasingly complex projects with care and commitment that make our company successful.”

In addition to information about local projects and companies, readers can now turn to The Who’s Who in Building & Construction for information on great new industry organizations, like the Architect Keystone Alliance, along with expert advice on bidding, estimating, and marketing. Anyone looking to buy or hire can attend a Showcase or peruse a regional buyers’ guide to source an exclusive list organized by both trade and company name.

Colorado’s Who's Who In Building & Construction Showcase takes place on May 10th at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. For more information about the Showcases, please visit http://www.ShowcaseLaunch.com.
