Developed in partnership with NASA astronomers, APOD brings the vastness of space right to your iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch - and now to your Apple TV.

The fourth generation Apple TV, announced on September 9th, 2015, runs on tvOS and features an App Store that opened the Apple TV for the first time to developers interested in developing for the platform. Concentric Sky jumped on the opportunity to bring APOD to Apple TV, excited about the opportunity bring the amazing collection of APOD images to TV screens across the country as well as offer the new touch-pad enabled Sire remote as a tool for navigating the large collection of images.

APOD for iOS was released in 2009 for iPhone and has since been downloaded by more than 3 million users across a variety of platforms. APOD for iOS is the official app for experiencing NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day on Apple devices. APOD for Apple TV is available for free download from the iTunes App Store.
