In celebration of its 5 Year Anniversary, Mixed Roots Foundation will host its 4th Annual ‘Adoptee Night’ with the LA Dodgers during National Foster Care Month as they take on the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 7:10 p.m. at Dodger Stadium. Kevin Frazier, Co-Host of Entertainment Tonight will throw out the first pitch to his oldest son, Tony Tull whom he had given up for adoption while Kevin was a teenager.
In partnership with Mixed Roots Foundation and The City of Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti has joined the team of Kevin Frazier to help raise awareness for National Foster Care month by participating in a PSA that will air at Dodger Stadium for the 4th Annual LA Dodgers Adoptee Night event.
“Every child deserves a safe home and a loving family, but thousands across our City still long for the stability that most of us take for granted,” said Mayor Garcetti. “This National Foster Care Month, I am proud to join Kevin Frazier and the Mixed Roots Foundation in shining a light on the importance of adoption and foster care — and supporting the children whose lives are touched by these services every day.”
Along with The City of Los Angeles and Mayor Garcetti, Mixed Roots Foundation has also partnered with several individuals, businesses and organizations in the greater community to assist with the recruitment of adoptees, foster youth and their families to participate in the special event including Spokeo, the Los Angeles Lakers, Vlado Footwear, Brotherhood Crusade, Mixed Chicks, The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Stratford Schools, The Beverly Hilton, MindBomb Clothing, Primrose Home Health Care, Inc., Christine’s Mod Art, Hilton Universal, Hair Wraps by Brenna, KMK Commercial Insurance, Embassy Suites – Downey, DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Los Angeles, Five Acres, Raise a Child, AdoptTogether, Southern California Gas Company, Printing Depot, LA Job Corps, Kindred Foundation for Adoption, Together We Rise, Vista Del Mar Children & Family Services, and the Law Offices of John H.
