Grand Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) May 12, 2016
US Signal, an industry-leading network and cloud-hosting provider in the Midwest, announced today it has expanded its data protection portfolio of services with Enterprise Backup and Replication. This offer is a fully managed offsite backup and replication solution for customers currently using EMC Avamar and/or Data Domain for data protection.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of these two services specifically tailored for our enterprise customers,” said Matt VanderZwaag, director of product development at US Signal. “These services complement our other product offerings and continue to demonstrate US Signal’s investment and commitment to providing our customers with IT-as-a-Service solutions that allow for reduced operational costs.”
Enterprise Replication allows customers to dispose of archival tape technology and instead produce secondary copies of their data from their EMC Avamar and/or Data Domain system to the fully integrated US Signal cloud. In addition, if data replication isn’t needed, Enterprise Backup is a standalone option and includes implementation of backup plans, schedules and monitoring of backup jobs to ensure data integrity. Enterprise Backup and Replication will not only enhance disaster recovery plans but also avoid the expense of operating customer-owned systems.
“Enterprise Backup and Replication is managed by US Signal; we maintain the target systems and monitor the backup and replication process, providing restoration support in the time of need,” said VanderZwaag. “It removes the burden of worrying about providing restoration in a time of need and provides confidence that their business and compliance requirements are covered. What we’ve done has truly inserted ourselves as an extension of an enterprise customer’s IT team,” VanderZwaag said. “The IT team can then focus its efforts on business operations instead of data protection.”
