Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 12, 2016 -- TechnologyAdvice announced today that COO Michael O’Hara, who has over a decade of executive experience in technology and digital media industries, will serve as their new chief executive officer.
Before joining TechnologyAdvice as chief operating officer in February 2016, Mr. O’Hara held numerous executive roles including COO of Leadnomics, executive vice president of Education Dynamics, president and publisher at Tomato Media (a division of Advance Publishing), as well as CEO and board director of several venture capital-backed software companies.
“With nearly 40 percent compound annual growth over each of the past eight years and an unparalleled group of staff and management in place, Rob Bellenfant has built a foundation for extraordinary opportunity and scale,” O’Hara said. “I couldn’t be more excited to play a part in helping grow the company to new heights.”
Rob Bellenfant, TechnologyAdvice’s founder and previous CEO, will transition into the role of CSO (chief strategy officer) in order to focus on high-level, strategic initiatives while pursuing other entrepreneurial endeavors outside of TechnologyAdvice.
TechnologyAdvice has experienced rapid growth over the past several years and more than doubled in size between 2014 and 2015. During the same period, the organization was named to the Inc. 5000’s list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies and recognized as a finalist in business awards from the Nashville Business Journal and Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
“This move makes sense for a lot of reasons,” Bellenfant said. “Once a business has reached our level of scale, bringing somebody in who has the experience, who’s done it many times before, is one of the best strategic moves that can be made. I’m proud of the foundation we’ve built over the last 10 years, and Michael is going to help us take that to the next level.”
O’Hara has a track record of helping companies scale their business models, launch new products, and improve their operational efficiency. This experience directly corresponds to TechnologyAdvice’s ambitions for continued growth and makes him an ideal choice to lead the company.
