Red Hot & Blue BBQ Featured on Fox & Friends Weekend
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) May 12, 2016 -- Red Hot & Blue COO, Randy McCann and Sonny McKnight, Red Hot & Blue’s Chief Pitmaster, will celebrate “National BBQ Month” on live TV with Fox & Friends Weekend this Saturday morning.
The Barbecue segment airs nationally on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 6:00am-10:00am EST on the Fox News Channel. McCann and McKnight from Red Hot & Blue Restaurants will appear with 11 other Barbecue joints, cooking up their best recipes and offering their famous fare for a sampling of the best-of-the-best barbecue recipes for the audience.
Fox & Friends is a nationally broadcast morning program on the Fox News Channel and reaches over 2 million viewers daily. The show hosts include Clayton Morris, Anna Kooiman, and Tucker Carlson, who will interview all 12 Pitmasters, collect their best recipes, and chow down on smoking-good food. Fox & Friends weatherman, Rick Reichmuth will also join the feeding frenzy.
Red Hot & Blue first opened in the Washington D.C. area 27 years ago. Three politicians and a PBS reporter created the first Red Hot & Blue restaurant because they couldn’t find any authentic Memphis-style barbecue on Capitol Hill. Since its start, Red Hot & Blue has grown into 22 locations in 6 states: Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. The authentic Memphis-style barbecue caters weddings, business events and any type of gathering from 20 to 5,000. The restaurant’s mission is to “serve up only the best quality food with a heaping dose of Southern hospitality in a fun, casual atmosphere surrounded by blues music and memorabilia.” For more information, visit http://www.redhotandblue.com

About Red Hot & Blue Restaurants:
Red Hot & Blue Restaurants - founded over 27 years ago in the Washington DC area. The restaurants have a distinctly Southern vibe, blended with Blues music themed décor and include Southern menu items including fried Delta catfish, collard greens and cornbread but it’s the barbecue that’s been the secret to its success. Smoked 12-19 hours over hickory logs, St. Louis-style ribs are served wet, dry-rubbed, or sweet; pulled chicken and pork are hickory-smoked low and slow; brisket is served sliced or chopped; and, sampler platters are available so you can try a little bit of everything.
Today there are 22 Red Hot & Blue restaurants in the U.S. Each feature Blues-themed memorabilia and a huge “Dancing Pig” logos in their buildings. The pigs -- plus the wonderful hickory aroma of barbeque that permeates outside – entice customers into Red Hot & Blue restaurants across the country.
