Ms. Garrett adds to the growing list of women entrepreneurs and business leaders that are impacting the technology industry in Dallas and around the country. The news of Brill Garrett’s involvement with the company was announced last Wednesday at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center in Downtown Dallas. The DEC hosts a weekly event for startups,1Million Cups, where hopeful startups get a chance to pitch their companies to investors, business leaders and other members of the startup community. “Brill will add a wealth of knowledge and insight that helps us navigate some of the challenges with scaling our company”, says Michael Smith, Co-founder at Terra.
The Dallas startup community has largely lacked the national notoriety of other cities such as Austin and Silicon Valley, but should begin to gain recognition if influential people like Brill Garrett continue to support local efforts by startup companies. Brill Garrett is a graduate of Princeton and Harvard Law School and a very popular figure around the Dallas/Fort Worth community.
