Stantec, known for the architecture and design of high-end residential buildings, has been selected by developer Morgan Group to design the new, 570,000 sf Pearl Midtown 29 mixed-use residential project.

The 20-story residential tower located at 180 NE 1st Street in the Midtown area of Miami, will feature 309 rental apartments and 12,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The building will include five floors of parking, outdoor amenities, pool deck and a rooftop terrace.

“Midtown is one of Miami’s most exciting neighborhoods, and we incorporated that vibrancy and energy into the architecture and design of the building,” stated architect Jon Cardello, senior principal, Stantec.

Pearl Midtown 29 is designed with a series of interlocking frames with ribbons of floor-to-ceiling glass throughout. The building mass will rest atop an airy base that encircles the ground level of retailers and other amenities. The project is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification.

Construction for Pearl Midtown 29 has begun and the project is expected to be completed in January 2018.

Stantec, a recognized national leader in architecture and design, is working on other prominent residential projects throughout Florida, including The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach; Jade Signature in Sunny Isles; Luma at Miami Worldcenter; Solitair Residences in Brickell; and 330 Third Street in Downtown St. Petersburg.
