Clearing the Confusion Surrounding Continuing Care Retirement Communities
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) May 16, 2016 -- Brad Breeding and MyLifeSite are excited to announce the kickoff of a four-part webinar series on Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC). Co-hosted with National Continuing Care Resident’s Association, this online seminar, open to all, will provide objective information and guidance on CCRCs and other related retirement topics. This is an amazing opportunity to learn what to look for when considering retirement living options.
Part one of this series, Should I Just Stay at Home?, will discuss the pros and cons of choosing to continue living at home as individuals consider the best living option for themselves or a loved one’s retirement future.
“Most older adults want to stay in their home as long as possible, for reasons that are very understandable,” says Breeding. “Yet, there is a growing realization among gerontologists and others that staying at home may not always be the best choice, and may lead to less healthy circumstances.”
The first installment kicks off on May 19th, at 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM (EDT). This webinar is open to all and will be presented by Brad Breeding. Additional installments will follow on May 23rd, May 26th, and June 1st, covering the retirement living landscape, questions to ask surrounding retirement choices, and the financial viability of CCRCs. The entire series is geared towards making the best retirement choices for the specific individuals’ needs.
“Families need to weigh out the pros and cons of staying in the home, based on their unique situation,” Breeding states, “and staying in the home actually requires planning, so it is important for families to understand the potential implications, financial and otherwise.” Viewers can register for the webinar at http://info.mylifesite.net/webinar-series-on-retirement-housing-options.
Brad’s extensive knowledge of the retirement industry, combined with his financial planning experience, allows him to provide valuable insights about lifestyle, healthcare, and financial planning considerations related to this significant life decision. Brad holds a Certified Financial Planner certification and is often quoted in national media. He is also the author of a book released in 2014 titled, “What’s the Deal with Retirement Communities?” and speaks regularly for retirement living providers, industry trade organizations, life-long learning classes, and other organizations across the country.
