Eisenhower Fellowships to Honor Doctors Without Borders and Leading Fellow from Pakistan
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) May 16, 2016 -- At a time when the consequences of armed conflict and the threat of infectious disease endanger developing and developed nations around the world, Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) will bestow its highest honor, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medal for Leadership and Service, to Doctors Without Borders.

Eisenhower Fellowships Gala Awards Dinner celebrating the 2016 Dwight D. Eisenhower Medal for Leadership and Service, will be presented to Doctors Without Borders and the Distinguished Fellow Award will be presented to Shahid Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Group.

The award wills be presented by General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret), chairman of EF. International NPR correspondent Deborah Amos will serve as the master of ceremonies at the event.
The Dwight D. Eisenhower Medal for Leadership and Service is awarded annually to a leader of government, business, civil society or other public figure or organization advancing President Eisenhower’s vision of a world more peaceful, prosperous and just. The 2016 Distinguished Fellow Award is an annual recognition of an Eisenhower Fellow who has made a significant contribution to his or her field and to the EF global network of nearly 1,500 active Fellows.
