Economic Alliance Helps Drive Job Growth in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2016 -- Mobile solutions leader CausePlay has inked a deal with a Guangzhou company to support Virtual Reality (VR) production and advertising. The partnership will enable CausePlay to hire production and support staff in Los Angeles to meet the demands of the new contract.
The World Trade Center of Los Angeles and the office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti made the partnership possible by supporting the Tripartite Economic Alliance between Los Angeles, Auckland, New Zealand and Guangzhou, China.
CausePlay will support a travel and business 360/VR content distribution deal with partners in Guangzhou, China. CausePlay will produce business and travel highlights of Los Angeles and the greater LA area in 360/VR. Iconic locations from Downtown LA to Santa Monica will be captured in 360/VR and distributed to Chinese travel and tourism, business, and entertainment mobile portals throughout China.
“This alliance is an example of how modern cities can engage and collaborate in the 21st Century,” says Stephen Cheung, President of the World Trade Center Los Angeles. “It’s about creating jobs and introducing the incredible talent and resources available in Los Angeles to the global market.”
The announcement arrives during the Tripartite Economic Alliance, which is held in Auckland, New Zealand. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles business leaders and international delegates are in New Zealand for the Tripartite Economic Alliance to develop business and trade partnerships.
“The Tripartite Economic Alliance will increase economic, trade and investment opportunities for Los Angeles businesses, entrepreneurs and investors with two key economic powerhouses in the Asia-Pacific region,” says Cheung.
The Los Angeles delegation has a number of formal and business engagements with Auckland and Guangzhou business leaders and government officials in hopes to establishing strong partnerships to enhance economic development activities for all three regions.

About the Tripartite Economic Alliance
Guangzhou and Los Angeles are Auckland’s most well-established and economically important sister cities. In November 2014, the Mayors of Auckland, Guangzhou and Los Angeles signed the Tripartite Economic Alliance agreement. The three cities aim to set a new standard for how modern cities can engage and collaborate in the 21st Century, and are already working together to enhance trade and economic relations.
The inaugural Tripartite Economic Summit was held in Los Angeles in June 2015, with the theme of ‘Innovation – through Commercialization and Connectivity’. The 2016 on May 16th and May 17th summit will build on the importance of making meaningful connections with fellow entrepreneurs and innovators.
