United States Patent and Trademark Office Awards LocoMobi Official Patent For QP Mobile Gate Kit – patent no.: 9,286,733 B2
Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) May 17, 2016 -- LocoMobi is pleased to update the parking and transportation market in regards to the patent announcement made last June 2015 regarding the approval of Quickpay (QP) location based entry and exit system using mobile internet connected devices to open gates and doors. LocoMobi will now be displaying this registration and will continue to work with all parties wishing to deploy this technology.
“It has been great working with many firms that recognize they may have been infringing on our patent and are coming forward to partner,” says Grant Furlane, President, CEO & Co-founder of LocoMobi. “The solution of connecting a remote processing center configured with an associated mobile device that automatically activates specific payment options and raises gates for each end-user based on the parking facility is unique and highly secure, as it combines location checking and individual user settings per facility,” he adds.
This patent is registered in most countries now with additional patents on updated technologies pending. LocoMobi’s QP system is used in approximately 60 cities. The intent now is for LocoMobi to expand the market and talk with all Real Estate owners, Institutions, Municipal, Tolling and Transit organizations to ensure that our systems are properly represented and have optimum support. The patent is very extensive and supports credit cards, debit cards, loyalty cards and vouchers to name a few.
The patent protects LocoMobi’s considerable investment of research, development and implementation costs and furthers our vision of a truly mobile cloud-based transportation system. Although connecting mobile devices is an integral component, it’s just one piece of the overall LocoMobi transportation infrastructure. Locomobi gives users a multitude of options to enter and pay for their parking, resulting in better control and efficiency for the parking operator.
This comes as an addition to LocoMobi’s continuous development efforts on its integrated cloud solution. The company will also be offering licensing agreements and partnership opportunities to providers who wish to utilize this exciting technology.
About LocoMobi, Inc.
LocoMobi, Inc. is reinventing parking and transportation technology in the era of cloud, mobile, low-cost hardware and Internet of Things. LocoMobi was the very first to offer a cloud-based licence plate recognition (LPR) system with a complete revenue engine that also provided a management system for virtual permitting systems, violation and citation management.
