CARE Network with Kubi Telepresence Robot Proves Value with LivHome Clients
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 16, 2016 -- At the American Telemedicine Association Annual Conference, the CARE Network software platform for eldercare today announced a successful pilot with Kubi, the telepresence robot from Revolve Robotics. In the pilot, CARE Network tablets mounted on Kubi stands, enabled remote care managers to more effectively and responsively interact with their clients. Kubi allows the care managers to adjust the position of the tablet during a video call so they can remain face-to-face with the client as they move around their home.

The CARE Network platform allows elder care providers to operationalize and personalize their care plans through a senior friendly tablet in the home. A core component of the platform is one touch video calls between the provider and patient. Kubi amplifies this feature by enabling the provider to adjust the tablet position remotely to view the patient during the video visit. A care manager can inspect a wound, evaluate if patient is oriented, perform caregiver supervisory visits, provide socialization, introduce a new caregiver and more.

Kubi improves the value of the CARE Network tablets by introducing a robotic stand on which the tablet sits. The resulting telepresence robot is then “driven” by the remote video caller - in this case, a care manager. Kubi thus turns passive video conferencing callers into active participants who can look around and interact with the patient.
