Domaine Bousquet, the leading organic wine producer in Argentina, is proud to announce that it has been named one of South America’s ‘Value Brands of the Year’ and a ‘Top 100 Value of the Year’ by the prestigious U.S. wine publication, Wine & Spirits in its June 2016 issue.
Limited to an elite group of thirty three producers from around the world, the family-owned Domaine Bousquet is one of only six wineries chosen to represent South America, having received multiple top scores from a group of more than 1,000 wines priced eighteen dollars or less.
Showcasing the immense quality of Argentina’s Tupungato winegrowing region, Domaine Bousquet led all scoring for red wines in Wine & Spirits’ highly competitive ‘Top 100 Values of The Year’ selection, with 92 points awarded to the Domaine Bousquet Tupungato Premium Malbec 2015. Also garnering top scores, the Domaine Bousquet Tupungato Premium Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (91 Points) and Domaine Bousquet Tupungato Reserve Malbec 2013 (91 Points) further cemented Domaine Bousquet as one of South America’s best performers over the last year.
“We are thrilled to have been recognized by Wine & Spirits,” said Labid Al Ameri, President and Co-Owner of Domaine Bousquet. “Domaine Bousquet is a winery that has always worked hard to combine European elegance with Argentinean spirit. We are very proud to see that our philosophy of showcasing the unique climate, terroir and quality of Tupungato is being recognized by critics, and it is a real tribute to the hard work of our dedicated team here in Argentina.”
Domaine Bousquet produces a range of high quality wines with both indigenous and noble grape varietals. The Premium line showcases affordable and food-friendly offerings, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rose, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay / Torrontes. The Reserve range focuses on fruit-driven and approachable wines aged in both American and French oak for 10 months, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec wines. The Grande Reserve line, which is produced from hand-selected grapes of exceptional quality, consists of Chardonnay and Malbec wines from the most mature vines on the estate. Additionally, Domaine Bousquet has two independent wines recently released in the United States, Ameri, a red blend of Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and Gaia, a single vineyard Malbec Syrah Blend, both awarded international accolades.
