Jared holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, along with the professional credentials of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Business Resilience Manager (CBRM), Certified Business Resilience Auditor (CBRA) and Masters Achievement in Business Resilience (MABR).
Jared has several years of experience working in the electric utility industry; most recently as the Director of Compliance at Peak Reliability where he managed compliance to the mandatory NERC standards for both Operations and CIP for four years. Prior to his work with Peak, Jared worked for the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). As an auditor for WECC, Jared was a member of the nationwide Cyber Security Auditor Group. His duties included Lead Auditor on multiple WECC entity CIP Audits. Jared also provided assistance in developing audit approaches and communication with registered entities and providing recommendations for improvements where needed. He has been a steering committee member for the Western Interconnection Compliance Forum (WICF) and has established many good relationships with regulatory authorities and registered entities.
