Telebyte, the leader in G.fast testing, will use their latest G.fast test gear along with a Calix 16-port DPU and Calix G.fast CPE’s to create a laboratory test environment at the G.fast Summit in Paris on May 19 & 20. Visitors will see the effects of real world noise (impulse, RFI, crosstalk and more) on G.fast modem data rates at differing loop lengths. In addition Telebyte will perform tests from the Broadband Forum's ID-337 G.fast Certification test plan such as PSD Mask tests, TDD Timing measurements, Functional Tests, Stability tests, and Performance tests.
Telebyte equipment used will be the Model CFA-24 (a transparent switch used to turn real cable loop segments into an automated laboratory test instrument), Model 4902 (G.fast noise generator) and the Model 501 (G.fast digital analyzer). This same equipment is used at the UNH-IOL for G.fast Certification testing.
The G.fast Summit is an excellent opportunity to learn about the challenges to deployment and see live examples of what to look for when preparing to go live.
