Armed Forces Day 2016: Project Sanctuary, Military Families Organization, Honoring Military Families at Colorado Event
Granby, Colorado (PRWEB) May 19, 2016 -- Project Sanctuary, the leading military family mental health program in the US, will be hosting its first annual Operation Project Sanctuary Gala (O.P.S. Gala) on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Denver, Colorado.
Colorado-based Project Sanctuary is a national organization and the leading therapeutic military family program that focuses on the needs, challenges and concerns that our military families face every day. The program works with veterans and active-duty service members and their families with its exclusive two-year A.R.T. program, combining counseling, education, self-development and recreational therapy to help build well-adjusted families. Project Sanctuary has served over 700 families from all over the U.S. through its research-based program. Over 1,800 families are currently on the program’s wait list. The founding principle is the whole family serves, and the best way to “support the troops” is by supporting the family.
The O.P.S. Gala is Project Sanctuary’s signature event and will bring together its drive to help military families and the deep desire to share the mission with a wider audience—all with the aim of serving even more military families. Rather than being just another dinner and auction, the O.P.S. Gala will be an evening of honoring our nation’s heroes and the military families who stand beside them during the happy public homecomings and during the difficult private days. The Gala will include honoring our military through a special military opening ceremony and emotional success stories from military families, veterans, Project Sanctuary’s founder and even community leaders who have all been impacted and transformed by Project Sanctuary and its unique program.
Notable Attendees:
Stephan Tubbs, the host of Colorado’s Morning News Show on KOA News Radio, will emcee the gala.
