Introducing The Center for Addiction Recovery Training - CART
Hartford, CT (PRWEB) May 20, 2016 -- The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) announced in early May that the Recovery Training Center will now be officially known as CART - The Center for Addiction Recovery Training. CART was established in order to provide a centralized location for those interested in Recovery Coaching and providing Recovery Support Services with resources and performance enhancement supports. As the creator of the nationally acclaimed CCAR Recovery Coach Academy©, CCAR has a desire to continue to build upon the foundations of the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© by bringing forward additional training opportunities for Recovery Coaches. When thinking of a name for the Center – it seemed clear that CCAR wanted to stay grounded in doing what they do best – Addiction Recovery Training, hence the name of the new Center was born. CART will continue to focus on the development of new training programs designed to support those working in the field of Addiction Recovery. Along with the nationally recognized CCAR Recovery Coach Academy©, CART has several programs and is constantly expanding its catalogue of offerings to meet the needs of the field. Currently CART offers Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches©, Spirituality for Recovery Coaches©, and Recovery Basics for Parents, as well as an online webinar series for Coaches. This year a new version of the RCA is being released that is geared towards those working with veterans entitled, Healing Communities: Recovery Coach Academy for Home-Based Navigators. Also in the works for 2016, is a course on the Supervision of Recovery Coaches which will include a series of webinars.
On the Move…
In early 2016, CART opened their doors in a new office at CT Non Profit Center at 75 Charter Oak Avenue, in Hartford CT. The Non Profit Center boasts over 20 organizations providing many ways for CART to build relationships and collaborate with other area non profits. The Non Profit Center has state of the art training facilities, free parking and access to many sources of public transportation, which was of great importance when finding space to hold CART trainings and offerings.
On the Web…
Later this year, CART will launch a brand new website. Having a website apart from CCAR will help those who are strictly looking for training and products through the Recovery Store. The store sells books, videos, and products all focused on recovery.
