RAB Introduces High Output Ultra-High Efficiency LED Area Lights to Replace 1000 Watt HID Fixtures
Northvale, NJ (PRWEB) May 23, 2016 -- RAB Lighting extends its line of popular ALED area lights with the addition of new high lumen output models. The 360-Watt ALED delivers over 37,000 lumens and replaces 1000 Watt metal halide fixtures using 67% less energy. The 260-Watt version has an ultra-high efficacy rating of 108 lumens per Watt and offers an even more energy efficient option when a full 1000W equivalent is not necessary. These high output fixtures are ideal for a wide variety of applications including high mast lighting for recreation fields, tennis courts and large parking lots.
The ALED family of area lights is available with a factory-installed Lightcloud™ Controller (lightcloud.com) for use with RAB’s new wireless lighting control system for even more energy savings. The fixtures are also available with an integrated motion sensor/photocell for multi-level lighting control or a swivel photocell. ALED comes with 0-10V dimming for 120-277 or 480V systems. The fixtures are offered with cool, neutral or warm color temperatures and in bronze and white color finishes.

The ALED area light is engineered with specification-grade optics that deliver, efficient, clean, uniform light in IES distribution types II, III and IV. Type II distributes light laterally and is designed for lighting areas such as wide walkways and bike paths. Type III is ideal for roadways, general parking areas and other lighting applications where a large pool of light is required. Type IV provides a forward-throw of light that produces a semicircular distribution and is especially suited for mounting on the perimeter of parking areas and buildings.
ALED models are DesignLights Consortium (DLC) approved and qualify for many utility rebates available across North America. All models have a 100,000-hour LED lifespan, based on IES LM-80 results and TM-21 calculations, so maintenance and re-lamping requirements are dramatically reduced, adding even more savings.
Mounting options include pole, slipfitter or wall and all hardware is made of high-grade corrosion resistant stainless steel. These area lights are UL listed for wet locations. ALED is well protected from dust and water intrusion with an IP66 rating. All ALED models feature a patent pending thermal management system that keep the them running cool for optimal performance over an extended period of time.
