ProExam and IYF Announce Strategic Partnership
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 18, 2016 -- ProExam, the most experienced organization serving the credentialing market and home to its Center for Innovative Assessments, and the International Youth Foundation (IYF), a global nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering today’s young men and women to be productive, engaged citizens announced today that they have entered into a strategic partnership. This partnership combines ProExam expertise in developing research-based, innovative assessments designed to measure both noncognitive “soft” skills and knowledge with IYF’s Passport to Success® (PTS) initiative, a world-class life skills curriculum and training methodology, currently translated into 20 languages and implemented in more than 40 countries. Both organizations also bring an extensive global network of partners, dedicated to strengthening and expanding positive youth development and evidence-based assessment around the world.
“IYF is the ideal partner to help develop and distribute a workforce readiness credential for the global market,” said Robert Block, ProExam’s President and CEO. “The PTS program already equips young people ages 15 to 29 with the skills that help keep them in school and are in high demand by employers. Our assessment-based credential will serve as a powerful signal to employers and local governments that credentialed individuals possess characteristics that have been identified as critical to success in the workplace.”
William Reese, President & CEO of IYF said, “We are delighted to partner with ProExam to develop this innovative assessment of work readiness. Employers around the world and across multiple industries consistently tell us that these “soft” skills are at least as important as technical skills. Our joint assessment and credentialing venture will allow young people to demonstrate they have the skills that employers value most, and employers to feel confident that their investment in hiring that young person makes good business sense.”
