Recognized in April 2016 as a leader in Early Childhood STEM education by the White House, Stratford School, a Silicon Valley based, top-tier independent private school, announces the opening of their new Preschool through Sixth grade Altadena Allen campus at 2046 Allen Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001.

CEO, Shawn Weidmann, who worked closely with the Pasadena Unified School District to secure the location said, “Having just completed the groundbreaking ceremony at our Los Angles Melrose campus in April, we couldn’t be more excited to open a campus for the Altadena community. We are proud to arrive in SoCal with an outstanding reputation from Bay Area parents, and national academic associations across our 18 campuses, for providing an exceptional STEAM education, where children are inspired to be creative problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders. Stratford founder, Sherry Adams, who established the school in 1999 adds, “Our expansion south meets the growing demands of parents seeking an academically advanced, socially enriched, dynamic education. To officially mark and celebrate the commencement of renovations at the new Altadena Allen campus, Stratford will hold a Commissioning Ceremony on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Local dignitaries, school, officials honored guests, founding families and their children, will be invited to put their hand print on tiles to create a commemorative piece that symbolizes the little and big imprints of all in attendance, to be displayed when the campus opens in August. Immediately following the Commissioning and reception, Stratford School will host an Open House event until 3:00 p.m.

Additionally, Stratford invites prospective families to join them for an Open House on Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Stratford School Showroom, 959 E. Walnut St., Suite #214, Pasadena 91106. Applications for the Altadena Allen campus for grades Preschool through Second grade are being accepted immediately and enrollment is expected to fill quickly. Stratford is also recruiting for teaching and a variety of school staff positions. Register here for the Open House on May 21.
