Octo was selected as the winner of the AFCEA International’s 2016 Small Business of the Year. Additionally, Octo VP of Civilian Affairs, Naina Leo, was named a winner of the Meritorious Service Award for 2016 Bethesda Chapter.
AFCEA International serves its members globally, by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information. By winning the 2016 Small Business of the Year Award, Octo is recognized for excellence in four areas: Client Service, Business Practices, Staff Training and Motivation, and Community/Professional Outreach.
VP Naina Leo was recognized for her meritorious contributions to AFCEA and the community, and for her professional accomplishments. Winners of the Meritorious Service Award for 2016 are selected by the AFCEA International Awards Committee, and awardees are nominated based on AFCEA participation and contributions, and other professional accomplishments. Leo led the extraordinarily successful AFCEA Health IT day in 2015, which was a highly complex event unifying key public / private Health IT leadership. Both awards will be presented at the AFCEA International Awards Dinner from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington, DC.
