VBrick® Rev® in Process for FedRAMP Authorization from US Federal Government
HERNDON, VA (PRWEB) May 23, 2016 -- VBrick today announced it is undergoing FedRAMP certification and is actively working with the government through the FedRAMP Security Assessment Framework (SAF) for its groundbreaking Rev enterprise video platform. Rev gives organizations the ability to seamlessly create, use and share live and recorded video to enhance engagement, knowledge sharing and productivity.
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP authorization is a mandatory requirement for federal agency cloud deployments and service models. FedRAMP authorizes cloud systems in a process that includes rigorous security requirements in accordance with FISMA using a baseline set of NIST 800-53 controls to grant security authorizations. Once an authorization is granted, ongoing assessment and authorization activities must be completed to maintain the security authorization.
VBrick’s Rev is the only enterprise video platform currently pursuing FedRAMP Agency Authorization, an extensive commitment to security standards that, to date, less than 30 commercial companies have achieved. VBrick is pursuing FedRAMP Agency Authorization under the sponsorship of the US Patent and Trade Mark Office, US Department of Commerce. More information about VBrick’s FedRAMP status can be found on the FedRAMP website at https://www.fedramp.gov/marketplace/in-process-systems/vbrick-vbrick-rev/.
“Undertaking the FedRAMP security assessment and authorization process demonstrates our commitment to the data security of our Federal Government customers, and our customers in every market segment,” said Shelly Heiden, CEO of VBrick. “We realize that the security of confidential or proprietary information is a paramount concern of Rev customers, and FedRAMP is the security gold standard,” she said.
