Sea Born Adds Two New Center Consoles Boats, Jobs, and More
Blackshear, Georgia (PRWEB) May 26, 2016 -- Sea Born announces two new center console boats, the LX24 and LX21. According to the builder, both of these newest additions are intended to meet the allure of the boating lifestyle as well as the needs of saltwater anglers with families.
“Sea Born now has a full lineup of five bay boats and four center consoles ranging from twenty-one to twenty-four feet. We’re excited and looking forward to how these new models will translate to continued success for our dealers and most importantly happy boat owners,” says Wally Bell, president of Composite Research, Inc. (CRI), the makers of Sea Born.
Unique to the LX series, the new models offer a higher sidewall (freeboard) than Sea Born’s bay boats, which improves passenger safety while accessing rougher seas. Inside each LX, the builder has included forward lounge style seating for added passenger comfort with considerable storage capacity below. From the console of these boats, both pilot and co-pilot have the option of seated or upright positions thanks to a distinctive convertible leaning post. In the aft, the larger models in the series include bench seating and a transom door whereas the smaller 21-footer has flip-up seats, that when pushed into the down position become a rear casting deck.
As part of Sea Born’s ongoing growth strategy, CRI released the LX22 last year as well as several bay boats and has recently begun construction on a 30,000 square foot production addition. According to company officials, the newest center consoles and facility upgrades will help to meet the rising sales demands of its increasing network of dealers.
“We’re always striving to give our dealers the products and tools they need to be successful. From our other boat brands to these newest models, we want to make it easier for dealers and buyers to come together on the best boat possible while considering needs and budget,” continued Bell.
Outside of new models, CRI has also added new jobs and staff to its production facility.
“Over the past five to six months we’ve added a few dozen or more positions to our production crew. We anticipate more of the same as we bring on new dealers and as orders increase” says production manager Dave Travis.
