Boulder, CO (PRWEB) May 31, 2016
FlexJobs and Remote.co are hosting the first ever TRaD* Works Forum (*Telecommuting, Remote, and Distributed) June 8 -10, 2016 at the Fairmont Washington, D.C.-Georgetown Hotel.
“Remote work is the future of the workforce, so the goal of TRaD Works is to provide a space where remote work leaders can share their knowledge, technologies and best practices on this evolving trend,” said Sara Sutton Fell, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs and Remote.co. “Nowhere else will you find this caliber of leadership on remote work gathering to discuss the benefits, challenges, and opportunities that ‘TRaD’ working offers. This is going to be a collaborative event where leaders in remote work will help each other dial in how to track, support, and optimize remote work programs at their respective organizations.”
When: Wednesday, June 8th--Friday, June 10th, 2016
Nationally, telecommuting has grown 103 percent in the last ten years. More companies are offering telecommuting and flexible work options, but the majority are informal and only 3 percent of companies offering flexible work arrangements quantify the return on investment of their programs.
The two largest generations in the workforce, Millennials and Gen-Xers (who represent 106.4 million workers) have voiced their demand for flexible work options, making it a critical employment issue for companies to address.
Telework can keep businesses viable during major events that disrupt commutes. In Washington D.C., for example, the winter of 2015 brought severe storms, mass-transit shutdowns, and the Pope’s visit--and telework was widely encouraged to alleviate business disruptions.
