Broadcast Wearables launches touch enabled, programmable t-shirt

Google, the search engine giant, has collaborated with Levi’s, the clothing monolith, to create a touch enabled jacket that does a host of things, from answering your phone to changing the music. This jacket, created primarily for cyclists, aims at disrupting the smart wear market.
But, an Indian company, Broadcast Wearables Pvt. Ltd., has beaten the giants at being the first of its kind in the market. Hyderabad, India, based Broadcast has created the world’s first touch enabled, programmable t-shirt.
Broadcast t-shirt looks like a normal t-shirt, but is far from being regular. The t-shirt has about a thousand LEDs that let users change the slogan or the design.
The t-shirt comes with an accompanying app (iOS and Android) that helps users tell people their thoughts. A user needs to register on the app and connect the - shirt to the app. Then, all he has to do is type out a message on the app or create a design, and it will reflect on the t-shirt. A user can select an image or slogan from Broadcast’s community.
A user can also change the slogan or image by swiping on the logo! The logo can recognize a user's touch gestures. The user can tap on the logo to power on or power off the LED panel or swipe on the logo to change the image. Swiping on the logo fetches the next image or text from the app’s library and splashes it across the t shirt.
The LEDs are waterproof and have been sewn such that they cause absolutely no discomfort to the user.
