RE:Play to Showcase the Art, Music, and People Behind the Games on July 2 in Houston, TX
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 27, 2016 -- RE:Play is a gaming expo that takes place in Houston, TX, created by people with a passion for the gaming culture.
In late 2014, the people of RE:Play decided that they needed a good gaming expo in the south that celebrated the music and art of gaming—something that could get people together to celebrate the artistic side of the gaming culture, and in particular, the music. From that, RE:Play was born.
An intimate gaming expo that is just as much for the fans as it is for the people responsible for the games, it is meant to celebrate the gaming culture and everyone involved. Developers, musicians, artists, and more were encouraged to come out to the first event to celebrate together. Part gaming expo, part art hall, part concert, RE:Play has been put together with one goal: Create a show that is for the people behind the games as much as it is for the people playing the games.
Having had one show late last year, it has already doubled in size for the new show. This year, the event has gained support from studios like Gearbox Software, Supergiant Games, iam8bit.com, and more. There are tons of prizes being given away from various gaming studios and companies, like shirts, vinyl soundtracks, games, and more. At the first event, everyone who purchased a ticket in advance received an album, compliments of Brave Wave Productions.
Come out for a full day celebrating all things video games! New and unreleased games, as well as arcades, will be out downstairs set-up for everyone to play. Upstairs will open around 8:30 PM for the concert portion of the event. Downstairs will remain open for people to go up and down as they please.
