"Color Grading media can be time consuming but with FCPX LUT Night editors just need to drag and drop a preset onto their media," said Christina Austin - CEO of Pixel Film Studios.
With the FCPX LUT Night pack from Pixel Film Studios, editors can quickly and easily add stylish color grades to their footage. A LUT is a Lookup Table that contains a mathematical formula for modifying an image. The LUT changes every pixel’s color to the corresponding color indicated by the table. This plugin comes with 60 day to night CUBE LUT files.
FCPX LUT Night requires Final Cut Pro X version 10.2 or newer.
A LUT is a Look Up Table that contains a mathematical formula for modifying an image. The LUT changes every pixel’s color to the corresponding color indicated by the table. By manipulating each pixel, LUT’s can change each color range differently, giving the user more control over their look. The Night LUT pack comes with 60 dark CUBE LUT files.
Inspired by modern action films and fashion commercials, FCPX LUT Night can instantly give any footage an afternoon, twilight, or night look. From dawn to dusk and everything in between, with 60 different day to night color gradings to choose from. Take a summer afternoon to winter moonlight in the click of a mouse.
CUBE LUT files are extremely versatile. They can be used in many different softwares. With the FCPX LUT Night Loader from Pixel Film Studios, editors can quickly and easily load a LUT file directly into Final Cut Pro X to color correct or grade their footage without having to use another software. Users can simply drop the loader on top of their footage and then, use the drop down menu to select or import a CUBE file.
If the LUT doesn’t fully achieve the desired look, editors can use the built-in customization controls in the FCPX LUT Night Loader to adjust the strength, contrast, brightness and saturation of their image. They can also make further adjustments to color of the lights, darks, and miss.
