The Frost Science Portable Planetarium Makes its Debut at Southland Mall During Exclusive “Festive Fridays” Event on June 3rd
Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 27, 2016 -- The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science has created a new concept for bringing the universe closer to families with the Frost Science Portable Planetarium. This 20” x 20” inflatable planetarium will make its first appearance to the general public at Southland Mall’s “Festive Fridays,” located in the mall’s Center Court, on Friday, June 3rd, from 6-8 p.m.
Up to now, only students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools have been able to experience this mobile planetarium system, which accommodates approximately 35 individuals at a time. This will allow the community to explore the cosmos through an unforgettable one-of-a-kind experience. Guests will immerse themselves in a 360-degree galaxy environment as they enter the Frost Science Portable Planetarium and interact with celestial objects in our solar system, complete with special star gazing shows. Additionally, guests will also have the chance to learn about the new Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, as well as learn other ways to get involved with the museum.
“Festive Fridays” is a free event series open to the public, showcasing the talents of local musicians, dancers, and artists. Southland Mall is conveniently located on U.S. 1 and S.W. 205th Street, off the Florida Turnpike, Exits 11 or 12.
