At Whirlwind, we’ve always believed in the power of giving back to the community
Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 03, 2016
Houston-based metal building manufacturer, Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc., recently sponsored the 17th Annual American Diabetes Association Golf Tournament in Houston, Texas. Held on April 11, 2016 at the prestigious Champions Gold Club, the tournament brought together some of Houston’s most prominent professionals and philanthropists as they raised funds for diabetes research and advocacy.
In addition to taking part in the tournament, Whirlwind Steel President, Ty Sturdivant, and CEO, Jack Sturdivant, contributed two center court tickets and parking passes for a Houston Rockets home game during the 2016 – 2017 season. The tickets were among a number of donated items that were raffled off during the tournament.
Sturdivant said Whirlwind’s contribution reflected the company’s commitment to charitable work: “At Whirlwind, we’ve always believed in the power of giving back to the community, and this event was no exception. Some of our very own employees and their family members suffer from diabetes, so it was important to us to show our support for them, as well as the American Diabetes Association.” Sturdivant added that the company is looking forward to sponsoring more events in the future.
