Shah Trading Company will exhibit its new Dunya Harvest brand at the 2016 Summer Fancy Food Show (SFFS) by the Specialty Food Association. The SFFS is the largest specialty food trade event in North America featuring more than 180,000 products, 25,000 buyers, and 2,500 exhibitors. Dunya Harvest will showcase its extensive line of authentic and healthy world cuisine pantry staples in New York City from June 26 – 28.
“We have a lot of retailers tell us that our products are not only growing their healthy pantry category, but are also helpful in attracting more natural food shoppers into their stores,” says Sanjeev Shah, VP of Business Development. “We created the new Dunya Harvest brand out of the insight that retailers want to grow this area of their business and because of our extensive experience in this category, we are well-positioned to empower them do that. Our high-quality products, paired with competitive price, eye-catching packaging, in-house manufacturing and production, and our deep knowledge of the category make our brand a winning choice,” continues Shah. In addition to its branded line of Dunya Harvest products, the company also offers co-packing and private label packing.
Three new product lines feature flavors to attract a variety of health-conscious consumers eager to explore authentic world cuisine: organic canned beans, organic pantry staples and conventional pantry staples. These three product families consist of 45 skus including a wide variety of beans, rice, grains, oats, peas, seeds, and lentils. Many of the Dunya Harvest products are certified organic, gluten-free, free from added sugar, sodium free and certified kosher. The company recently opened a new facility to operate its own canning plant. The Dunya Harvest organic canned beans will be available in BPA-free lined cans.
The brand is looking to connect with American retailers and distributors who are keen to attract more health and budget-conscious shoppers. The Dunya Harvest line of products resonates primarily with health-conscious shoppers, such as Millennials and moms. Customers in the USA receive orders direct from Shah’s New Jersey distribution center and are supported with consumer-facing public relations support around key selling seasons and relevant global holidays, like Diwali, to drive localized shopper demand and educate shoppers on the ease and benefits of incorporating our products into their healthy diets.
Dunya Harvest’s quinoas, oats, beans, and lentils will be sampled throughout the show at their booth. Look to this growing brand to quickly widen its distribution and continue offering savvy retailers healthy solutions at competitive prices, backed by a solid supply chain and quality assurance practices.
