Microsoft Azure combined with Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI analytics have enabled VERSO to enhance the product returns management process, bringing greater value to the manufacturing, distribution and logistics industries.

VERSO Inc. today announced the launch of their new version of the VERSO portal that uses Microsoft products to automate the product returns and supporting processes across complex supply chain environments. Running on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, VERSO now provides a more secure and scalable environment, while seamlessly integrating work flow using Microsoft Office 365 Add-Ins and enhancing decision-making using the Microsoft Power BI business analytics tool.

Manufacturers and Distributors of all sizes will reduce cost, streamline work activities through automation, and manage complicated multichannel workflows that have evolved from the “Omni-channel” movement, while gaining important insight into market trends and user behavior. The Azure environment helps enable the information exchange that allows the above to happen in an efficient fashion, thus controlling cost and improving performance.

“We recently selected and implemented VERSO for a variety of reasons important to our business,” said Helen Hodack, CFO of Actineon, a manufacturer of form factor computers for digital signage and kiosks. “Verso’s out of the box flexibility, cloud based features and ability to be integrated with our MISys manufacturing system is allowing us to automate work and better manage our customer relationships.”

VERSO is a cloud-based solution designed to address many of the common challenges from product returns management to trouble reporting. This includes features such as multi-channel workflow configurability and automatic warranty verification, supported by additional ancillary functionality such as a spare parts ordering module.

“The cloud is transforming whole industries, and that’s certainly true in VERSO’s case,” said Andrea Carl, Director, Commercial Communications, Microsoft Corp. “Microsoft Azure combined with Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI analytics have enabled VERSO to enhance the product returns management process, bringing greater value to the manufacturing, distribution and logistics industries.”

VERSO Inc. was founded in 2014, with a mission to improve product returns management and other reverse logistics requirements by providing an easy to use but highly flexible cloud based portal (VERSO) that can be accessed by all participating supply chain stakeholders.
