According to the SPS Outsourcing Index: Higher Education Trends, a recently conducted survey, 74% of large educational institutions (over 20,000 students) leverage outsourcing solutions. The primary reasons cited for outsourcing were to reduce operating costs, to access outsourcing provider’s expertise and to improve service levels. Furthermore, only 63% of medium sized institutions (5,001-20,000 students) were leveraging such solutions.
The conference presents an opportunity for SPS to share its knowledge and experience on the benefits that can be gained by outsourcing auxiliary services such as mail operations, central reprographics and printer fleet management services.
