Clements Worldwide Announces the Global Launch of its Eighth Annual Expat Youth Scholarship Contest
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 02, 2016 -- Clements Worldwide, leading provider of international insurance, launched its annual Expat Youth Scholarship (EYS) contest, which awards a combined scholarship prize of $10,000 to six expatriate students. With nearly 9,000 participants last year, the 2016 EYS contest is highly anticipated by the expat community across the globe. This year, the challenge for eligible students between ages 13 and 21 is to create a 1-1:30 minute video that demonstrates how they will use their experience living abroad to make the world a better place.
“This year’s theme will give kids currently living outside of their home country the chance to share how they will use their enriching, cross-cultural experiences to give back to their global community. Clements is extremely proud to support expat students each year, and we look forward to receiving inspirational entries that demonstrate their positive contributions,” said Sergio Sanchez, Chief Marketing Officer at Clements Worldwide.
The EYS contest uses social media to allow the public to view all moderated entries, making the EYS contest accessible to expat students anytime and anywhere in the world. These are young people typically living abroad with their parents or studying abroad, who are in the unique position to be global cultural ambassadors. Their parents could be diplomats or in the military or any number of the growing number of people who live and work outside of their home country. The scope of the scholarship contest mirrors the scope of Clements’ customer base, as Clements has been successfully delivering personal and commercial international insurance solutions to customers in more than 170 countries since 1947.
The deadline for contest submissions is July 30th (11:59pm EST), after which a panel of expert judges from the international community will select the winning entries. There will be six winners (first, second, and third place winners in two age categories), which will be announced September 1st.
