Re-establishing our presence in San Francisco through this strong strategic alignment, and with Ryan leading the San Francisco office, furthers our overall approach for growth in North America.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 02, 2016
J. Walter Thompson North America and Geometry North America today announced the appointment of Ryan Lincks in the role of General Manager of its San Francisco office, a joint venture between the two companies.
Lincks will also serve as the North America lead for the office’s Treasury Wine Estates account.
Ryan comes to J. Walter Thompson/Geometry San Francisco with over a decade of diverse experience across retail, consumer packaged goods, and advertising industries, with expertise in business development, finance, shopper marketing strategy, account management, and brand development strategy.
Stefano Zunino, J. Walter Thompson’s CEO of the Americas, said of Lincks’ appointment, “Re-establishing our presence in San Francisco through this strong strategic alignment, and with Ryan leading the San Francisco office, furthers our overall approach for growth in North America. I am thrilled that Ryan has joined our team, as his vision and leadership will allow us to accelerate that growth.”
Carl Hartman, CEO of Geometry North America, added, “It is rare to find someone who truly understands the intersection of the consumer, shopper, and retailer perspectives. Ryan also has the advantage of understanding both client and agency mindsets. We are betting big on San Francisco as a growth market.”
Lincks was most recently the Chief Revenue Officer at the San Francisco-based advertising agency Swirl, where he started in 2011 as a Senior Retail Strategist. In his five years at Swirl, Lincks grew within the company, taking on a series of senior roles including Director of Business Development and Group Account Director. Ryan started his career with Walmart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, AR, where he led major initiatives for the CMO, including managing several prototype stores testing smaller formats, and improved customer experiences. Following Walmart, Ryan was one of the first employees at Popchips, Inc., where he held several roles, including leading shopper marketing efforts for the fast-growing snack foods brand.
“I am incredibly excited about this opportunity to lead the North American Treasury Wine Estates account,” said Ryan. “This enables me to utilize my previous brand-building experiences while fusing my passion for wine. I’m eager to tackle the challenge of expediting the growth of J. Walter Thompson/Geometry in San Francisco while pushing creative boundaries on behalf of our clients.”
