CS3 Kicks Off Fundraising Plans for 2016 Tour de Cure
(PRWEB) June 05, 2016 -- Each year, CS3 gears up to support the Tulsa Tour de Cure, which is the main fundraising event of the American Diabetes Association. The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading 501(C)3 nonprofit charity fighting against diabetes.
CS3's own Brandi Clymer, HR Consulting Manager and Red Rider, is the Team Leader each year. She began supporting the Tour de Cure in 2005, and helped CS3 begin the annual tradition. “After being diagnosed I wanted to get involved and find a way to personally contribute to the efforts of finding a cure,” Clymer stated. “I’m involved every year because the Tour de Cure isn’t just any bike ride – it is an inspirational event that brings so many people together.”
The team’s goal is for 100% participation from all employees – a goal we reached last two years and hope to reach again. Employees can sign up to ride in the event, donate to the team, or register as a volunteer on the day of the event. Everyone is encouraged to get involved somehow. CS3 is jump-starting every rider’s fund with a $26 donation to represent the estimated 26 million Americans affected by diabetes.
This year the team has extra fundraising incentives. If Shawn Slavin raises $1,000, he will wear a tutu during his Tour de Cure ride. If he raises $2,000, he will also wear a coconut bra. If Shawn raises $3,000, he will wear the tutu, a coconut bra, and a wig.
