Denver School of Nursing Announces New President

Respected for producing educated nurses with high ethical standards, Denver School of Nursing is pleased to announce Dr. Cathy Maxwell as their new President.

Denver School of Nursing, a respected, regionally accredited institution, is proud to introduce Dr. Cathy Maxwell as Campus President.

Effective immediately, Maxwell will oversee all operations at the school. Previously the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs for Ivy Tech Community College Northeast Region, Dr. Maxwell brings proven leadership to the Denver campus.

Maxwell is well known for the leadership and direction of all academic programs and services she provided while at Ivy Tech, a school of more than 11,000 students spread across five campuses.

“We are thrilled to have Cathy join us at a pivotal time for Denver School of Nursing. Her deep experience, vision, and leadership will be embraced by our students and faculty, as well as the nursing community,” said Dr. Robert L. Anders, Dr PH, CS, CNAA, ANEF, FAAN, Vice President of Nursing, Education Affiliates, Inc.

Denver School of Nursing is part of a network of schools managed by Education Affiliates, Inc. that is one of the largest nursing education providers in the U.S. The network, which also includes St. Paul’s School of Nursing and Fortis Colleges & Institutes, encompasses more than 5,000 nursing students nationwide and operates over 23 nursing programs in 13 states. The college also formally thanked Interim President Dr. Robert Anders, Vice President of Nursing for EA, for his tireless and continuing commitment to the school.
