JAY PEAK, VT (PRWEB) June 07, 2016
In college, first there were bar crawls, then came pub-to-pub runs. As consumers have graduated, so have their beer tastes, as proven by the rise in popularity of craft brews in America. So it’s only natural that there’s another beer-focused event to celebrate and participate in: the National Craft Brew Relay. It’s a little like summer camp for grown-ups.
What does a Craft Beer Relay look like? It’s a mix of running and drinking feats— such as the Slip n’ Flip, Giant Beer Pong and the mighty Keg Wall—all taking place at Jay Peak Resort on June 11, 2016. Live music and cold beer round out the festivities. The National Craft Beer Relay will host 100 teams set to compete in running and other competitive activities, and some will even compete in costume.
No Vermont event is complete without some locally crafted beer and cider. The following breweries and cideries will be in attendance: 14th Star Brewing, Foolproof Brewing, Ommegang, Berkshire Brewing, Keegan Ales, Queen City Brewing, Champlain Orchards, Kingdom Brewing, Stone Corral Brewery, Covered Bridge Craft Brewery, Narragansett Brewing, and Zero Gravity Brewing.
“The Craft Beer Relay is a unique and exciting event which takes some the best craft beer from breweries across Vermont and New England to combine a fun, festive, short running event,” said Chase Averil, manager of the Craft Beer Relay. “It’s going to be a blast to gather a team and take on the challenge, so we invite running enthusiasts and beer nerds alike to join in the festivities by entering a team or just to come watch the fun and enjoy some beers.”
