Micross Components Announces An Executive Promotion & A New Addition to the Executive Team
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 07, 2016 -- Micross Components (“Micross”) headquartered in Orlando, FL is pleased to announce an executive promotion and a newly-created role within the company’s senior management team. Tony Hamby has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Die, formerly Chief Commercial Officer and Rafi Albarian has joined Micross in the newly-created role of Senior Vice President, Strategic Solutions.
For the last 15 years, Mr. Hamby has been instrumental in building the Company’s bare die line card, successfully positioning Micross to be the premier vendor of bare die in the North American high-reliability market. Additionally, Mr. Hamby has directed & managed the successful integration of the Company’s acquired businesses and led the restructuring of the domestic sales organization. In his new role as Senior Vice President, Global Die, Mr. Hamby will direct the market development strategy and overall growth for the Die business on a worldwide basis inclusive of the US, as well as Europe & Asia.

Mr. Rafi Albarian has joined Micross in the newly-created role of Senior Vice President, Strategic Solutions. Mr. Albarian is charged with defining and directing an expanded Micross Strategic Solutions initiative in North America. Micross Strategic Solutions will be built around Micross’ traditional Products and Services (P&S) business while also expanding customer offerings through better integrating the capabilities of our Orlando, Milpitas (STS) and Hatfield locations. The Strategic Solutions team will support both STS and Micross-branded sales and services in all markets other than deep space. In addition, Rafi will actively partner with Mr. Hamby in the development of new value-added opportunities with semiconductor OEM’s, plus support Micross’ Strategic Solutions sales in Europe.
Mr. Albarian brings more than twenty-two years of microelectronics experience to his new position and has a proven track record of successfully driving significant growth through innovative sales initiatives. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cobham Semiconductor Solutions (formerly Aeroflex Microelectronics Solutions) headquartered in Colorado Springs, where he was responsible for both spearheading key programs and sustaining the profitability of their more mature businesses. Prior to 2013, Mr. Albarian was employed at Linear Technology Corporation, where he was responsible for the management of their Space and Harsh Environment product lines. Prior to 1998, Mr. Albarian spent four years as a Field Sales Engineer and nine years as an Infantry Officer with the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA and his Master’s Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School.
