Using direct experience as a framework, Jeffrey H. Myers, CFO and VP of Financial Services for Chi Solutions, an Accumen company, and Sean McKibben, President of Mount Carmel West, are slated to speak at the 2016 Ohio Hospital Association Annual Meeting and Education Summit planned for June 13-15, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio.
The OHA Annual Meeting offers a premier opportunity for healthcare providers and administrators at all levels to gain valuable insight about statewide industry trends, network with their peers, and achieve a better understanding of the healthcare issues and policies most likely to impact their organizations.
Today’s healthcare climate forces hospital executives to look toward broad initiatives that will generate meaningful revenue for their organizations. This presentation will provide insight on and action steps for driving outreach growth as a revenue opportunity. Hospital- based outreach delivers sophistication in sales, quality service, and innovative technology. While clinical laboratory as a business unit faces challenges like narrower networks, pricing, and financial accountability, it is very scalable. With proper infrastructure and fiscal management, outreach is a viable way to leverage sunk costs in the laboratory to significantly impact the bottom line in conjunction with ongoing cost reductions.

Myers, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Financial Services for Chi Solutions, an Accumen company, and has more than 20 years’ experience in financial analysis and administration in the healthcare industry.
