LinkNow Media Makes Donation to Fort McMurray Relief Efforts

Montreal-based web design and online marketing company LinkNow Media has made a donation to the Red Cross fund for Fort McMurray.

LinkNow Media, a web design and online marketing company in Montreal, has made a sizable donation to the recovery efforts following the Fort McMurray wildfire.

The Fort McMurray wildfire, which began just southwest of Fort McMurray on May 1st, swept through the city on May 3rd, forcing the evacuation of every resident of the city. While the city is no longer in imminent danger, it has been estimated that cost of the damage to Fort McMurray is nearly $5 billion. 88,000 Fort Mac residents were displaced, and nearly 2,000 homes were reported destroyed.

“During the weeks following the fire, we put aside a percentage of every sale we made for donation to Fort McMurray,” says LinkNow Media blogger Lauchlin MacDonald. "Last week, we donated $1,000 to the Red Cross. But we’re proud to say that many of our employees also chose to donate individually and raised $310, for a total of $1,310.”

LinkNow Media encourages those with the means to donate to give to the Red Cross.
